Re: Illegible Player

I'm sure the former LFA Secretary who now sits on the Board will be working on this using all his experience and influence to ensure we aren't punished too severely if at all.

Apologies Alty-Fan - should have read the story a bit closer - states and I quote" there is a suspicion that a fan from one of Altrinchams rivals may have tipped off the FA - but that action has rebounded on Stanley" My humblest apologies for remark which I retract wholeheartedly. However, how come your on our message board?

Re: Illegible Player

Were not the only team in the reserves league to have been docked points
this season, Lancaster City have been docked 7 points, and Morecambe 3 for playing Ged Brannan

so there you go

As an Oldie I hope I'll be forgiven for , metaphorically speaking , wearing Belt and Braces .

Re: Illegible Player

The ruling is from the FA-we play under management of the conference. As such there would be possibility of deduction under FA rules but not apparently under Conference rules. The guy lied, but who doesn't blow their CV up? He was caught out after only two games cos he was crap but as he had played for Stanley albeit without contract, he then went to Alty effectively from a british club so they will take no repercusion from this. The club will undoubtedly contest any action proposed & if sanctioned affecting the first team A: we have points in the bag to ride it out as at most would be poss be 3 pts & b: fine most likely outcome & they should throw that at the gimp for his lies!

Re: Illegible Player

Apparently the maximum fine is up to and no greater than £10,000 and the possible points deduction is a minimum of 3pts and a maximum of 45pts. This is all dependant on the criteria used by the FA in their calculation..e.g..games played by player involved, league status etc...
It seems to fan out at about a £3,000 fine and 18pt deduction.

Re: Illegible Player

I heard today, from the 'official' horse's mouth, that a points deduction is massively unlikely. I think we ought to leave it at that, instead of speculation based on guess work and no real knowledge.
