Can't see it, relegation brings with it something like £400/£500 grand less in dosh from the league???

Conf money is crap so his business would in effect be worth nil ish

Smile Re: Ilyas pulls out

The club can't be put into administration due to HMRC petitioning for a wind up order. I think that it might be possible to save the club if Ilyas and Peter Marsden get their heads together and put a bid in for the club at the winding up hearing. HMRC would be probably willing to give the club a few days if there was a 95% chance of the debt being paid off by Ilyas and Peter. I think that if this was put to HMRC it might well be a viable option in order to get all the money back rather than nothing at all.

Personally I hope that the club can be saved but it will be very difficult given the timescale. I have only been going on for two seasons now but I have thoroughly enjoyed it and lets hope something can be done to keep Stanley going.

I will sleep on it but I wasn't talking about accyweb anyway.

Heart wrenching moment in my life. In my opinion it looked like the only option availible to keep our club alive.

Emergency meeting anyone ?

Re: Ilyas pulls out

I think that the DON has got to do something and fast! The first thing I would suggest is to tell all us fans exactly what is going on and explain how they are going to raise the money. I think another fans forum should be arranged in order to help us understand what exactly is going on.

Unhappy Re: Ilyas pulls out

I am now officially worried since this whole thing was first announced - 2 main players offering serious backing have just walked off...

If nothing else it will be a very interesting next couple of weeks - hope we come out the other side like Hyde managed to do... all fingers and toes crossed now..

Re: Ilyas pulls out

(Quote) Ilyas was going to match the directors offer of cash (Unquote) So how if anything does this effect the SAAF??? is Ilyas still behind the SAAF if a NEW SHARE issue becomes reality??

Re: Ilyas pulls out

I confirm that I have withdrawn all offers of financial support for ASFC.

I made this decision with a very heavy heart, and after a great deal of consideration.

The club and its directors have been particularly focused on assuring everyone that they will see the situation through. In the circumstances I can only wish the club, its players, supporters and staff the very best.

I also confirm that I have spoken with Peter Marsden. I know he made a statement to the directors at the board meeting on Saturday, and I admire his courage and his integrity, and wish him well in the future. It is not my place to comment on what he said, and why he resigned. I am sure that will emerge in due course.

Finally, I confirm that the loan that I made in June of £25,000 through the ASSF will be written off by me. I do not wish to receive the money back, and it will therefore become an unconditional donation to the club and thereby lessen its debt by a small margin. I will not be making any further pledges, commitments or donations.

Re: Ilyas pulls out

once again Ilyas, thank you for everything you have done for the club in the past, and everything you have tried to do for the club in the present.

It is most unfortunate that you feel you have no option but ot walk away from all this and rest assured if the present regime cannot find a way out of this then I personally will find the people who need to be held accountable.

Should you every reconsider your position then you will of course be most welcomed by anybody with Stanley in their heart. It has been a pleasure to work with you and your family for the last couple of months.

ps any chance of lending me personally £250,000

thanks Ilyas

Re: Ilyas pulls out

In a nutshell means now the club and fans are left on their own to save the club? I feel really sick now and feel there's no way now it can be saved unless someone wins the lottery

A sad and regrettable conclusion to all that Ilyas has tried to do for our Club !..after saying a sincere Thanks to him for all his time, and most of all his extreme patience, given to 'The Cause'....all I can say is...'Where to now ??'
