Ince Or Roof
What / who would you rather have at Stanley, Paul Ince or a new roof ?
Cause i for one cant see Eric paying for the roof when he has Ince's wages to fork out.
Plus do we need Ince ?
But YES we need a roof !!
Speaks for itself

Re: Ince Or Roof
A new roof definately otherwise the spectator who decides on a whim to come to the match won't if it's chucking it down! I went to the match today with a Man City fan who fondly remembered going to football grounds like ours years ago i.e. quaint, no cover, risking a good soaking.

Re: Ince Or Roof
Well, we're not gonna get either in the near future are we? I think it's obvious the roof is needed more than a glorified Justin Jackson.

Re: Ince Or Roof
Sorry, but I don't agree that we need the likes of Paul Ince. In Coley, Jimmy & Andy Dibble we have all the management/coaching team that we need plus I can't begin to imagine the kind of wages he would want.

But how do you pay for Ince's wages when attendances decline because of the bad weather?
This 'player or roof' question is total nonsense.
Only when you increase your revenue stream can you contemplate increasing your costs. We currently have the 2nd-lowest average attendance in League 2 (only Maccesfield are lower) and this is the year of our triumphal return to the League! I really fear for our attendances when the cold, wet, windy weather really kicks in, the media attention dies down and we're not climbing the league table. When that happens, we will do well to keep our best players, not talk about getting new ones.
The discussion about the standard of the ground and the empty promises is a very old one and it really isn't worth repeating, but unless we can find ways to get more money through the gate, Coley will not have the budget to take us to a higher level.

Perhaps signing somebody like Paul Ince would be a way to get more money through the gate.
