So, it turns out that the poor guy who was attacked was a Stanley fan, after all. He's facing the possibility of "facial reconstructive surgery". Hope they really throw the book at the perpetrator.

Stories like this are very sad.There was some trouble in a pub near me this weekend.A bloke was shouting abuse his girlfriend and threatened to hit her.An older chap,who did not know the couple,intervened and asked the man to calm down.He was then headbutted and woke up in hospital with facial injuries and missing teeth.It's very sad but it seems it's not worth it to be a good samaritan these days and at the first sign of trouble you should walk away.Not easy I know but these days you could be killed for your trouble.It's just not worth it.
