Re: Is anyone else concerned?

Yep, that's great, although the level of debts still look worrying from a cursory glance.

Still, great to be able to look forward to a good day out on Saturday.

Re: Is anyone else concerned?

Hopefully now, most of the debate on the forum can be about matters ON the pitch. A new season, a new squad, weather that feels more like November than August. Oh yes, the football season has arrived. Happy days.

Mind you, he also said we were '99% there' to paying the tax man - yes I'm worried
That's why Corporal Jones used to say to Captain Mainwaring, don't panic

There isn't a club in the land that isn't in debt to some degree. The main thing is who the debt is owed to.

Exclamation Re: Is anyone else concerned?

“We knew things were bad and I think these accounts just highlight what we thought,” Lowe said.

“The accounts we really want to see are for 2009/10.

“But I just thank the Lord that Ilyas Khan came in.

“If he hadn’t put £1m into the football club, there would not be a football club.”

A quote from Loweiy, think he got his words a bit mixed up.....

Incidentally, I never knew Loweiy was religious...

“But I just thank the Lord that Ilyas Khan came in."

I hope he's not going to lead us in a prayer of thanksgiving on Saturday!

I think the question that really needs answering Wyn is have all the underlying problems that put Stanley in the dodo in the first place, been ironed out, or will all the good work done by Ilyas and don't the supporters, been in vain, I certainly hope not

Re: Is anyone else concerned?

Thank goodness, but still nothing on fishy site - you'd think news as significant as this would be on there before it's in the Telegraph

Re: Is anyone else concerned?

Just read the Telegraph article, I see that good friend of Yonmon's 'Stanley Hope' is mentioned once again in the title - maybe those two words should be our new motto

Hey, Wyn, there's no doubt plenty of us (how did you once put it ?), Godbotherers, who also keep the faith at Stanley and are delighted to offer up thanks for deliverance

Let's hope the Stanley choir have a cracking season to sing through, eh mate. Now can't wait for Saturday - though for me it's an armchair & a tin of Johnny Smiffs as nearly 300 miles away from 'home'. Keep smilin'

You have a point baldy, dunno thats the only source we have, tho the club have been known to be 2nd or 3rd in announcing stuff, if it were me i would want to blast it all over the fishy site & then the rooftops
