Gary- We Start In Positive Mode

Assistant Manager Gary Owers is on The Shots Online as he provides a full preview for the new npower League 2 camapign stating that the squad have prepared well as it all starts on Saturday at Accrington Stanley......

SM !!.With your fears of a PP in mind...Do you think a little bird should be passing these sort of concerns on to Gary Owers ?...
He'll be looking for three easy points from the match..and could end up with all of his preparations for the Aldershot Town Squaddies amounting to zilch !!....poor lad !...

Pessimistically yours ...etc. etc.

Re: Is anyone else concerned?

As I understand it, the match would be postponed only the ground itself was deemed unsafe without the safety certificate, i.e. the players would not be allowed to enter the ground. As this relates to a control room and some seating, and as long as the work in progress does not cause any threat of injury to the players, there would be option to play the match behind closed doors.

However, the planning permission for the new control box has long been approved by HBC, so there really would be eggs on faces if the process had not been co-ordinated with LCC so that the inspection for the Safety Certicate didn't go ahead in enough time for Saturday. I can't see that happening at all.

Even if it does come to playing the game behind closed doors, (and I don't think it will come to that) I reckon if we get there early enough some of us'd be able to peep through the gates
