James Harris
James Harris suspended for one game commencing 8th January, so it looks like he will miss the Notts County game.

Re: James Harris
He needs to start behaving.
He`s a good battler but over aggressive in my opinion.
He was lucky to stay on the pitch at Wrexham.
A lot of our younger players need a talking to about discipline. When the teams down to bare bones cos of injury we asbo lutelty don`t need suspensions for silly behavior.

Missing the point here SamF - we only had 12 fit first teamers at Wrexham so losing one even for one match does not assist our cause. What we need to do is let them keep their aggression but channel in such a way that they do not get booked or red carded. Having seen Mr Harris in action, and Mangy as well, they both have a habit of back chatting the refs when decisions go against them. Make a small protest yes, but Mangy was sent off for going OTT Harris is going the same way.

Re: James Harris
I think the attitude comes from the top though.
It could be trained out of them pretty easily however I doubt it'll happen.

Re: James Harris
Train of thought here, when we were given a suspended fine for our poor disciplinary record a couple of seasons ago, things improved the following season to the point we won promotion back to the league. Surely there is a lesson to be learnt here. Fine the players when they get themselves needlessly sent off, I know they are not the best paid players in the league, but if it starts hurting their own pockets, then they might just question their motives.

Partly agree, but he's a player who does not hide. He's taken on a lot of responsibility in the last couple of months, loss of Craney, Boco, etc.
I think he's come on a storm, him and Proccy are working their socks off.

is that not part of the problem with the recent poor form? the two guys in midfield, as honest and hard working as they are, and I am a fan of both) are both ball winners, grafters, play wreckers. Nobody through the middle of the pitch between the keeper and Mully is keeping hold of the ball and carrying it to the next area of play in order to give respite to the defence. Tired and overworked defenders make mistakes that lead to goals and fouls.......
So bearing that in mind when Boco comes back I would assume that he will go straight back in ,fitness withstanding. Either Boco plays in the middle of the park with either Harris or Proctor, or he goes up front and Brown gets dropped.
Two from three, Harris, Proctor, Brown - who sits it out?

Re: James Harris
I'd agree to an extent, maybe Coley should have a 4-3-3 backup system, with Boco supplementing Procter and Harris. But really think it's proven that someone should play off Mullin, Brown or Boco (McGivern when he's back), but then you need to sacrifice width, Todd (Player of year, deffo) or Whalley (young player of year?)
The only thing I'd put forward is a 4-3-3 as a slightly more defensive formation to the norm, but only if Boco is available, Coley's preferred system is fine though.
In the main I like to turn up, and clap, and sing .

Re: James Harris
Everyone seems to limit themselves to either 4-4-2 or 4-3-3.
Why not try 4-5-4 for a change.
Most of the blind refs we`ve had so far probably wouldn`t notice.
LoL

I don't agree - Harris is starting to do precisely that in the way Barry used to do.
