Smile Jimmy Gee

Hello there.

This is a serious long shot but I was hoping that someone could help me out.

Me and my girlfriend were taking the other night and she was telling me that many moons ago, her great great Grandad was a professional footballer by the name of Jimmy Gee. As well as playing for Blackburn, he also played for Accrington Stanley from 1924 to 1927.

All I've really found of him is that he scored 35 goals in 86 games, so I can only assume he was a striker.

I don't expect anyone here to have actually seen him play, but if there's any club historians kicking about that could tell me anything, it'd be much appreciated.

Cheers

A quick google found this 1926/27 - Accrington Stanley 7 Hartlepools United 2 - In The Mad Crowd, a Hartlepool United resource so I'm sure it won't be too hard to find more. Good luck.
