John Coleman Jimmy Bell / Reply to Rob

First of all CONGRATULATIONS to John Coleman, Jimmy Bell and Cooky without doubt the most passionate management team in the conference they seemed to have forged a great team spirit and never say die attitude in the players evident again yesterday ie another last minute winning goal! The appointment of John Coleman (apparentely he was reccommended to Stanley by Liam Watson) was the begining of Stanley's long road back to the football league and the dark days of a 5-1 home defeat by Bamber Bridge some years ago are now just a distant memory.

As for Rob I felt insulted by his assertion that I was trying to stir up bother with my question regarding Ilyas Khan. I was merely echoing the thoughts of 'Yerself' who posted on the message board Quote;
Didn't Ilyas Khan donate some money to go toward, if not pay outright for, the Clayton End roof ? The condition being that it be called the Sophia Khan stand for three years after completion. If this is so, what's happened to this dosh ?
And many other people who thought the donation by Mr Khan was to go towards the building of the Clayton End Cover. I may have been misled on this by an article in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph on the 23rd November 2005 which read Quote:
The new canopy over what will become the Sophia Khan stand, after the mother of a fan, Ilyas Khan, who was born in Accrington, but now lives in London and has helped fund the work, is expected to be finished by the end of the season.

Hope you dont mind me expressing my right to reply.

LETS HOPE WE KEEP JOHN COLEMAN FOR THE NEXT 7 YEARS

For crying out loud.. whats wrong with you? The money was for naming rights... how many times does it have to be said.. and why are you asking Rob to reply when he already has in another thread... covering your insults with compliments for coleman etc is poor

Re: John Coleman Jimmy Bell / Reply to Rob

To be fair Kipax I thought what he said as well. I now realise that is not the case but I did think Ilyas Khan had paid for the roof to be done.

Even now it seems a bit odd that a guy would put a five figure sum up front for naming rights of a COVERED terrace that seems as far away from becoming a reality as ever.

As long as everyone concerned is happy though that is all that matters I guess. I certainly don't think he was deliberately stirring things up though.

He already asked the question.. he was pointed to proof that it was naming rights.. then the club make a response in this forum to his question and state that it was naming rights...... the question was answered with proof and a response from the club..

then he starts a new thread asking it all again.... why exactly dont you think he was stirring it up... ?

It's just one of Stanley's many "revenue streams", Staveros, got your name down for the new kit yet?
