Just noticed....

Watching Liverpool atm and although the whole ground is standing up, there appears to be no problems whatsoever. Certainly no stewards asking people to sit down. If this is OK with 36000+ scousers, then why not 20 Accrington fans? (insert tongue in cheek wink since i cant via editing).

Wink Re: Just noticed....

My friend,

There no quick answer, however it is basiclly down to the attitude of the club safety officer and the enforcing authorities ( Council, SAG, FLA and the Police)

In Liverpool the safety officer is very leanient and this filters down to the setwards, espicially on European nights. In turn the enforcing authorities must give him the leeway to allow him to do so

Here at Accy we have to conform to the enforcing authorities. As it is our first season as a fully desinated ground, we are having to "jump through hoops".
However Mick S and his superb team must be doing things correctly as the "S" ( safety factor) has been increased. ( Without a 5000 capacity we could not have continued our League membership)

Re: Just noticed....

Look at this way, any little hitler can make a fuss and get 20 fans to sit down, try getting 36,000 to do the same, it ain't happening.

Plus, Scousers have to be able to stand, or they'll start bleating on about Heysel or something similar.

Salt of the earth don't you know?

Pretty pathetic if you have to explain it. Plus, I had changed the quote if you noticed.
