May be that our other star players have re-signed and kept faith with stanley and the management, and we've still got the makings off a good side and Kenny was the best keeper we've had....

Agreed, but what's happened has happened. Time for the club to put it behind them and concentrate all their efforts on finding a new keeper of similar calibre.

Where?
Unless you mean all those negative posts over on the Ultras website, I don't go on there anymore much too depressing.
I quote.........
Kenny Arthur.............................
wot a ******, & btw sack your agent!
Shows that money is everything.......
Loyalty in Football is Facked
it shows a complete lack of ambition on his part
Fran reckoned Norwich were sniffing around him - so agree with Loweiy that there's a lack of ambition there!

Lot of moaners when they came on here as well, and so young.
Valairian is more likely to be refering to Jimmy Bell though, Reds in rage at keeper Kenny (From Lancashire Telegraph) , and maybe others.

Strange isn't it, accyweb is so positive and the Ultras site is so negative.

Re: Kenny Arthur
I stand by my posting that it showed a complete lack of ambition on his part, league one clubs where looking at him and he could have done much better than Rochdale.
He was the best keeper we have had in a long time and a very nice chap too!
I wish him all the best at Dale but still hope a big club comes in for him

I thought the same and said so at the time of his departure.
I don't think there's any real ill feeling towards Kenny from the club. Now Eric's not around, the papers know to ask Jimmy Bell if they want a quote (on anything) that can easily be taken in a more sensational way!
Obviously everyone is sad that we've lost the best 'keeper we've ever had, but a club such as ours could only ever be a stepping stone in his career in English football. The fact that we couldn't dedicate a goalkeeping coach to him for more than a few months shows that.
I don't think there'll be anyone that won't give Kenny a good reception on 24th October/20th March, including Coley & Jim.
Still could've done better than League 2 residents 'Dale though
