I do think however that the doctor should have over ruled his decision, passing blood isn't exactly a slight bump on the noggin. Hard working footballers such as Ken obviously want to keep on playing until they have no limbs remaining (Holy Grail sketch!) but surely it's the responsibility of doctors, coaches and management to look after their players before allowing such displays of courage.

Bear in mind the home team doctor takes responsibility for both teams in 99% of times. To my knowledge visiting teams have brought their medic 3 times to the FES in the last 5 years. Our doc has travelled to Colchester, Bury and Morecambe in the last 5 years.
The only decision in FA rules that that any Club Doc can rule on his a head injury.
Don't think any away manager would be mighty pleased to be told his goalkeeper/ or indeed any player can't play in the 2nd half!!
The last issue we had at the FES was Worksop in the FA Trophy when our doc advised a Worksop player should not continue in the 2nd half. Ronnie Glavin (their manager) was less than impressed and the advice was totally ignored!!
I'm sure the Lincoln doc gave our staff advice, but the final decision for Kenny to continue would have been made in the away dressing room.
