Kenny Arthur Shirt Sponsorship
Don't know if any of you Jags fans are aware that last Season Stanley ran a sponsor a players shirt for both the home & away tops. For a £100 you get your name on the Club Website and in each home programme against that player and at the end of the season you get the signed shirt maybe if a few of you get together like the Stanley Fans on here and do a tenner each and then come the end of the seson have a draw to see who wins the shirt. Would perhaps forge closer ties to both clubs and remind King Kenny your still right behind him, For full details if you look on the clubs official website under sponsorship looking forward to seeing some of you for the Pre Season friendly against Burnley.

Well this is the theory. I sponsored two shirts in the 2005/6 season. One never arrived and I had to make do with something quite different; the other arrived only after much persistence, several telephone calls, emails, and meaningless promises.
I sponsored two shirts this season. I still await these. I also await replies to emails, letters and telephone calls.

Re: Kenny Arthur Shirt Sponsorship
Disgusted!!!
My eleven year old son sponsored a shirt, using his own money. Several calls made, several promises of a return call etc etc........Absolutely Nothing.
Last year I sponsored Anthony Barry, only for the shirt to go missing!!
Two weeks ago I promised Mick Schultz paint for the ground, urgent he told me, still no phone call from the club!!!!!
What do individuals have to do for his club to get an honest answer?........shame them in the press?.....come on for Christ's Sake, get your act together people and deliver what you have promised!!

Re: Kenny Arthur Shirt Sponsorship
I know that you are all dying to hear the latest episode in the gripping saga of the sponsored shirts (non-delivery thereof).
On Monday came a promise that the shirts would be posted first class that very day. It's now Thursday. Guess what??? Correct - still no shirts. I have since offered to collect them on Saturday if I know there will be anyone at the ground - and while I am there collect calendars to sell on the OSC stall at the carnival. Guess what??? No reply.
Does this club want support or not?
Keep watching this space!!!

If nothing is forthcoming by the time of the sponsored cricket match , I may just ask for my £200-00 back And offer it to a club that I am sure would love the support .
So Kenny Arthur's shirt may still be up for grabs .

Re: Kenny Arthur Shirt Sponsorship
All's well that ends well. I now have the sponsored shirts - I collected them from the club shop on Saturday before going to the carnival. Thanks to those who made collection possible.
It's a pity that so many hoops have to be jumped through in these situations. Let's hope for a smoother process in the coming season.

As far as i know Ossyclogger still hasn't got his shirt and as he is poorly in hospital at the moment and it's his birthday today it might be nice if he actually got it !

I am very glad your story ended well Bernard and I have to admit that I was a bit luckier than you. We sponsored Andy Tretton's shirt last season and did receive it in the post a couple of weeks ago without any prompting. It wasn't signed however (at least, not unless my eyes were deceiving me ),though this may have been an oversight, seeing as Andy didn't play a single match for Stanley last season (neither was his photo in any of the programmes, though it was on the official site !), and maybe he just wasn't anywhere around.I was slightly disappointed but at least the shirt arrived - and was big enough for even me to wear !!!
I was thinkling about sponsorship again this season as it is very difficult for me to get to any home matches, living so far away, and I can only really see Stanley when they play down south, but I see that the sponsorship section on the official website is still showing the 2006/2007 details and has yet to be updated.
Whilst I am reluctant to be critical as I know Stanley are not a big club, I have to agree with several of the comments made - the admin seems to need a real shake up and a much more professional approach, as in many cases, they are the outside world's first link with the club.
