Kid in the Car Park
After the Vale game was stopped by a 13 year old kid in the Car Park....
He was brandishing a letter from the club & an A4 copy of the Ground Regulations. He had spent 90 minutes in the Car Park & the letter said he behaved "badly" at the Grimsby game & was banned......
I couldn't believe what I was seeing tbh. Now I don't know what he has done but surley a 13 year old can't have caused a riot.....
The worlds gone mad! ![Enough](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/aprilsmile/enough.gif)

Re: Kid in the Car Park
Have had a request to close the thread till more details of this case can be factual in response to the post, as last thing club needs is speculation & accusation till its looked into, hence its closed for now & not deleted ![Big Grin](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Re: To lift the mood...
Unlock the 'kid in the car park' thread, the stewarding at stanley is a disgrace, clayton end has seen a huge deterioration this season.

Re: To lift the mood...
I agree Dave.... This ain't an official forum & if he hadn't have stopped me we might never have known. We also may have lost another 13 year old back to his Playstation forever.... In 5 years he will be employed, full price & knowing Accrington a drinker of Alcohol. Surely we want these kids forever!!!
His last words to me...... "Can I still go to Crewe....."

Re: To lift the mood...
If this kid you are talking about is one of the ones I witnessed verbally abusing Stewards at the end of the Grimsby game for NO reason, then I say fair play to the club...........He might only be 13 now but He must know the difference between right and wrong. God help us when He is of drinkling age...........He should be ashamed of Himself.
His language and attitude were disgusting to say the least, and full marks to our stewards for NOT rising to Him.
Stop knocking the guys and girls in yellow and give them some support, either that or give up your Saturday afternoons and join them, it is all very easy for you guys to stand and mock/complain and ridicule, but as the saying goes, you try walking a mile in their shoes.............somehow I dont expect any of you will ![Frown](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Re: To lift the mood...
One of the most attractive things at the crown ground was the fans self governing and self control. Anyone going to far was dealt with by the majority. Not meaning to sound nostalgic, but there was a sense of freedom and unity. With the new stewarding policy its very much us vs them. From the second you walk dow the steps your being watched, treated with suspicion and frisked down. Theres a uncomfortable under-current.

The thing is supporters will not give up & join the stewards they will just give up......
I will leave it at that, your first point is valid & if that was his crime fair enough.

I for one dissagree with you completely, I have NEVER felt watched or suspected of anything in all my years of going to watch Stanley. As for being 'frisked' then I suggest that you look to your fellow fans and stop them from bringing in banned items (smoke bombs etc) and perhaps then things will calm down.( I realise this has now been dealt with, but the analogy remains)
The stewards have a thankless task and should be supported, as I have already said why not do something positive and join them instead of knocking them all the time, then you just might have a very different view on the whole thing.

Re: To lift the mood...
On the contrary Pete, the stewards at Accrington in the home ends have the easiest task in the whole Football League. We have no hooligans, no firm & no "bad boys"....
If there were none on the Clayton End there would be no trouble.... Its chicken & egg mate. What came first, fans swearing at stewards or stewards acting without common sense on the Clayton End?
I am sure nobody thought at the start of the season, lets pick on the stewards this season. In ten years of attending nearly every home game this season is the only one we have had full of stewarding problems

I will unlock it once i have confirmation to do so, ..... yes the club & Ilyas classes accyweb as ITS official messageboard, so yes its only repectful to consider the clubs point of view on issues of sensitive or legal matters also the fact that the child is a minor so shouldnt be named either not that it has yet, but could in speculative terms.
I beleive the club has made a right call & myself in closing the thread.

I thought there was going to be a meeting between the main set of supporters & the safety/stewarding officers so that problems could be aired more productively ![Confused](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif)

Re: To lift the mood...
Stewards have been sound for weeks, since "Flaggate".....
But giving a kid a letter & not letting him in is a bit over the top. How about send him to see Chief Steward ie like a headmaster.... Warn him, let one of the Ultras speak to him.... I don't know, just seems completely over the top, without common sense or to use the favourite term "Elfs or Safety's"

Hang on a mo Willie!! Not meaning to cause an argument, but which of the above statements is wrong?
In the first one you say in reply to me that I ahd a valid point and that the punishment suited the crime
Then you go and cotradict yourself in the second!!

Re: To lift the mood...
It was myself in conjuction with Mick S and his deputy Safety Officer that asked for the thread to be locked ( thanks Mel)
I am at work and will gather the rest of the facts by this evening and post back.
What I am disappointed in is people with either no or minimal facts making comments
I'll present the facts and also post the Football League Ground Regulations that each + everyone of you accept every time you enter a Football League (and Premier League Stadium).
The Crown Ground has a full safety certificate issued yearly by Lancashire County Council under the guidance of the Football Licencing Authority.
We're in the "big boys" league now, we accepted membership and the income that goes with it. We have to abide by the rules!!
PS The mood is good, highest league postion in my lifetime, no relegation battle, fantastic cup runs, gates up (we're not even bottom of that League Table) and the club in the "black" ![Smilie](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
As per Coley "Keep the faith" ![Stick Out Tongue](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
