Last game of the season
12:30 kick off on Saturday 30th April - away at Wombles.
Not sure why, must be a T.V./P.L. thing???

All L1 games kick off at 12-30 to ensure it's a fair finish to the season.
2 games will be shown on Sky TV. The 12-30 ko means the games will be finished before the "blocked hours" 3pm until 5pm kicks in. L1 finishes a week earlier from memory something to do with the availability of Wembley and the changes to the May bank holiday?? |

If revenge is a dish best served cold, our last game provides an opportunity to settle old scores.
Who can forget the Wombles leapfrogging us into L1 back in the 2016 season play-off, despite finishing 7th in the table. How satisfyingly ironic if we condemn them to L2 on Saturday. Good luck to our neighbours Fleetwood & Morecambe. Only a fool would prefer them to face the drop to any other team south of Baxenden. |
