Re: Late Kick Off Tonight
I don't see how Cashy and I can't quite agree that it should be kept behind closed doors. I would suspect that this issue has been approached on numerous occasions without resolve and it's that frustration that's led to Coley voicing his concerns. Not one of us would work beyond reasonable limits without being paid; anybody else would have had there employer for breech of contract by this time and be at least £18k better off and still have a job.
I don't understand why they weren't paid first, not a lot of point paying off creditors if you have no player to bring people through the gates. We will never find the likes of John Colman or Jimmy bell again; if they go we'll end up with a succession of nowhere men and never do wells; people won't want to sign and even more support will fall away.
What are the key factors in investing in a Club - in my opinion it’s the Players on the field, no players, nothing to watch, nothing to watch - no supporters, no gates.
We shouldn't criticise Coley or the players for speaking out. We should be getting behind them and ensuring that there voices are heard.

Re: Late Kick Off Tonight
We can all agree that the players should be paid on time, no excuses. Ilyas paid those wages whenever the club failed to do so in recent times. He made sure the players' bills were paid, mouths were fed etc. Now Ilyas has finally taken over the club (at ridiculous delay due to Whalley & O'Neill) and promised to get the club debt free, the manager chooses to publicly compain about the wages being late. Do you not find that strange Doug? That Coley didn't utter a word when it was Whalley & O'Neill being the cause of late wages but decides to do so now? Even when Ilyas has never failed to come good for the players?

Re: Late Kick Off Tonight
Can't believe some people think that it should have remained behind closed doors , its been common knowledge for months and was even in proccys column
The players have total trust in what Coleman tells them both on and off the field, so i can only imagine they money men weren't straight with him and things he's promised have not happened ,undermining him
Most of these lads have families, bills and mortgages but still would run through walls for him, no wonder he's seething ,

Re: Late Kick Off Tonight
If Coleman tells the players they will now be paid , I would imagine someone higher ur the ladder has furnished him with this info, and once again they don't get paid, I don't think if would be happy .

Re: Late Kick Off Tonight
I can only ever "get" about one word in 10 whenever Coley speaks, due partly to my deafness, but also to his strong accent. Can some kind person please paraphrase just what he said?

Re: Late Kick Off Tonight
Basically redraine coley is saying players haven't been paid yet again (this being Saturday ) and isn't gonna tell the players if they are cos its of empty promises, words suchlike. I thought they had been paid and bemused why now come all out and say it when this has been a constant problem all season, totally shelling the rob Heys play down the difficulties on same show. I'm bemused at all this & the complete contrast in interviews, again making us more tinpot and desperate - or assured way to get the season ticket justification across - errr no idea

Rob Heys made promises in the Observer about the wages, yet more lies from the CE, nothing changes.

You ever heard the quote - ' do not wash your dirty linen in public' - unquote.
Same applies here. If I wasn't paid for my work I would not go to the Accy Observer, LET or LEP or even the BBC, I would go to my pay office at the County Council or even my local office where I work (this is where I would start, only going higher if I did not get a satisfactory answer! but under no circumstances would I go to the press.). Surely whoever is the players representative should be approaching a. Rob Heys, b. Peter Marsden, c. Ilyas Khan (in no particular order) to sort out the mess!
