Re: Latish Plymouth Thread
Bad day at the office today, but to be fair plymouth were a better team, well organised, good game plan with plenty of experienced pro's.
They worked hard and fully deserved the win.
It was obvious from the start cooky is going to open the game up and play with width, indeed when we were defending we stayed wide(linfield could have sat with us!!)
Interesting if he plays this way as we could get over-run if not careful.
I personally like it when we close the opposition down by pressing ,don't think we have the players to play with width, although devitt was excellent and was a real plus

Not particularly, Rob. Not a patch on either Jamo or Rob.

When the dark clouds & hail cast over the crown ground - was the only interesting bit, not seen em this dire both halves in a very long time, none of them should play tues except podge but he was brought on too late. Dismal display!

Have to agree F19 Plymouth bossed everything from the off with as you say a good blend of youth & experience, agree our game plan looked to use the width but without any success and not forcing a shot till nearly the 40 minute mark which is not the attacking Stanley we have become used to, we looked terrible all over the park with lots of misplaced passing and giving the ball away cheaply when under no pressure.
Got to say Alex McDonald has come on leaps and bounds since I last saw him play for the Clarets Reserves and led the line well for Argyle.
Plenty of work to be done on the training ground before Tuesday's trip to the railwaymen and plenty of food for thought for Cooky & Leam, not quite sure what the solution is but at least the games are thick & fast so we can quickly put it right.

I've noticed Stanley seem to play poorly when you turn up. Is there a connection.

Re: Latish Plymouth Thread
...and of course, this would be the occasion when DaveinGermany and Mrs Dave ventured onto the Clayton End for the first time. He was quite diplomatic about it, but don't reckon they were too impressed!

Re: Latish Plymouth Thread
In short to avoid ranting:
Send Toto back to Everton; Antwi comparisons hilarious.
Send Evans back. Moves badly, doesn't pick head up, can't pick a pass.
Devitt could be brilliant.
Change the formation Paul. Don't be scared to revamp with your own ideas as since the Barnet defeat we haven't been as good as we can be (even against Gills we conceded 3).

I couldn't agree more. Devitt and Podge were the only ones for me to come out of that game with some credit. In fact I watched until we were 3 down and then left. Biggest crowd of the season and worst display!!!
the only way is up after that!

Agree, Evans when he first came,i thought "Promising" since first few games very ineffectual.
