Re: LDV Here we come!!!

just a word of warning, look what happened to Halifax this season, semi's of the LDV and very nearly relegated. And all that as a full time outfit. I really do hope we are not running afore we can walk.

All the same, lets hope we do better next season and I know this is not the right thread, but a huge thank you to all the players leaving this seasons end, you have all done a job well when required. A million thanks

Re: LDV Here we come!!!

Beware! That confguide link doesn't say the top clubs take part. It might be 12 Conference sides in the LDV but, if last year is anything to go by, it's not necessarily the sides in the top twelve. In 2003/04 Telford were included after finishing 15th but three sides who finished above them (Margate (10th), Farnborough (13th) and Northwich (14th)) weren't.

Re: LDV Here we come!!!

Could be the bottom 10 or even 10 that dont begin with A or even 10 not in the north west in fact could be a conspiracy so Accy cant play in it!

Re: LDV Here we come!!!

Tonights telegraph (takes pinch of salt) says we are definitely in the LDV and for finishing 10th we are guaranteed a league club in the first round...

Re: LDV Here we come!!!

Remember this is a Football League competition, and their rules are to be followed.

If Northwich and Margate were not allowed to enter last year it was because they were ground sharing. I suspect Farnboro could not enter because their ground does not comply to Football league requirements.

I think possibly that Gravesend may also fall foul of this requirement, so the organisers keep moving down the league table until they have the number of teams that are required to fill the places, hence the lowly teams entering last year.

Trust this helps.
