League 2 Predictions?

In order to cure my infinite boredom tonight (wife having a girls night in and I'm banished to the computer room!) I thought I'd start up a quick thread to establish who you all think will be the best/worst sides in the division this year.

Lets go with the top four spots (forget play-offs etc, simply 1,2 3 and 4), as well as the bottom four spots (21, 22, 23 and 24).

Sadly my knowledge on League 2 is all too recent so I'll plead the fifth and let you experts try your luck.

Not the most original post but hey, under the circumstances, spare me a little latitude on this one guys and gals.

1) Bradford, 2) Notts County, 3) Rotherham, 4) Crewe

21) Darlington, 22) Barnet, 23) Aldershot, 24) Macclesfield

League Two Champions: Notts County

Carling Cup Winners: Notts County

FA Cup Winners: Manchester City, after extra time and penalties . . . against Notts County.

Re: League 2 Predictions?

1. Crewe
2. Morecambe (I hate putting that)
3. Shrewsbury
4. Northampton Town

21. Aldershot
22. Grimsby Town
23. Burton Albion (bucking the trend that a club who comes up does not go straight back)
24. Torquay United (ditto Burton)

Re: League 2 Predictions?

Notts County are going to take some stopping, not just with the new management but also the money the owners will pump into the club
Don't know enough about league two to make predictions

Re: League 2 Predictions?

not sure what to make of County tbh.

Peterborough spent silly money but it still took them 3 years to get out of the basement and we obviously saw quite a bit of it in the Conference. I think that unless they spend really silly money then they might still get the problems of players gelling together and how to keep so many 'good' players happy.

Top half of the table for them methinks (still a big improvement) but they won't go up automatically.

Oh cheers for that!

It's going to be a hard season for both our clubs without doubt. But let's hope we are both still in the league come this time next season.

I wonder if we hadn't got your former favourite Craney if you'd have said the same?

Think the problem about gelling is a problem in any division Mac, you only have to look at clubs like Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle and the like to see that, the money is handy but doesn't guarantee success at any level, you need the right coach to gel these buys together, City have spent big this summer but still think thy won't brake the big four strangle hold next year
