Re: League 3..............?

Reading some of today's papers, it is suggested in one of them that the basic problem is that young (16-19 years old) 'English' players don't get to play competitive football if they are contracted to a Premiership club.
Given that the global conglomerate businesses, otherwise known as the Premier League big boys, will not stop signing foreign stars (even when the only reason is to sell product in foreign parts) why not just prohibit any Premier League club from having such young players on their books. All those unused kids swanning around the Premier Leagues, and not playing competitive games, may then be available for the teams in the Football Leagues and would get some game time. They might learn something from their team mates about football, other than how to negotiate image-rights.
Surely this idea is daft enough for the FA to take seriously?

Re: League 3..............?

I cant see a legitimate reason why they can't just have a shadow league for the reserves of each team. Whichever league the 1st team is in, the reserves should be in the same. The games should kick off on the same day as the 1st team, at the same venue, either before or after the main event. Maybe that would provide a value for money addition to the main game and many supporters may stay on for it. All problems solved.

In the event of teams in the main league being deadlocked on points the reserves position could be utilised
