Cashy, I think that the Chesterfield board will be looking at a playoff spot at the very least next season and that the team will have to be there or thereabouts in the league or else the fans will become very restless - they can't afford a poor start. Am just pointing out the alternative view, that they may have got themselves a great duo, as opposed to folk pointing out the risks

Back tracking? You still don't get it do you? I don't need lessons from you about backing the team.

Jeg Red is correct.
With some justification they will be expecting the play offs at LEAST next season, if not automatic promotion.
The only clubs I expect to be challenging for the title are Portsmouth and Southend.
Bradford, Cheltenham, Mansfield and Oxford should be thereabouts in the play off spots.
One or two others may emerge, but I expect the league to be open again as I doubt Bury, Hartlepool, Scunny and wrexham/newport will be investing heavily.
Southend have invested (wrongly IMO) in Phil Brown and he has been promised money to get them up.
Pompey are starting afresh and already their new chairman is talking about providing funds to make them competitive.
No excuses next season if Cook and Leam dont get them in the top 7.

EXCUSE ME??????
Says the guy that set a campaign to get leam out! Forgot how much YOU love JC & JB so much I think there's a bromance brewed. You have threatened to go round mr whalleys house when that kicked off and I got abused for modding that. You are one hypocrite.
I don't support your views but I love Stanley not the management suck up, I've done a lot for the club over the years ... What have u done? (But complain either at the last manager and any supporters who don't agree with your views!)

Re: Leam gong ?????...
Stanleymad,
You wrote it.
There was no 'campaign' to get Leam out, I asked is he up to the job after a diabolical run of form.
I remain a Coley fan and believe he would have kept Stanley up.
Leam improved results and I was proven wrong.
Campaign?

Re: Leam gong ?????...
Btw, I didnt ask you to support my views.
During Leams disastrous run you like others where asking fans who wanted a change in manager to get behind the team. It was the correct thing to do.
If Coley is appointed I will encourage yourself and redraine to get behind the team.

What???? Hahahaha amnesia see several threads you started
Oh what me and redraine choose to do doesn't need your suggestion or approval and we are entitled to our opinion and stand by that
Leam - disasterous run wtf?? We didn't go down he kept us up = mission complete and a HUGE well done to him during his 1st no 1 managerial charge, he accomplished what many don't on their 1st ever experience of being a manager - should be respected and applauded
As beats said on similar lines, he also brought in decent attraction of players over a wider area than scousepool ....will boco stay should he consider to, if coley is back ~ people have rose tinted memories.
