Re: LEIGHTON McGivern
i agree should never of let him go! we could do with him now with players injured and Mullin getting rested from training so he can play full 90 in games! we only have Linfield and Smith who is on loan.

Re: LEIGHTON McGivern
Leighton was a fan favourite but not good enough for league football. Then again most of our squad are non-league standard players. When fit Leighton could do a superb job. Might be worth a punt if we can get him back on the cheap.

Re: LEIGHTON McGivern
I think most of our players have done well who have come up from non-league as goes to show we are still in the league. Yes we aint had the best of seasons and if it was not for the minus points than things would be alot different, but thats why its good every chairman aint like ours . We will still be in the Football League next year and for many seasons to come.

If Leighton McGivern is that good why is he playing for Waterloo Dock in the Liverpool Combination - about eight leagues below Stanley.

Re: LEIGHTON McGivern
Rather have Andy Mangan back to be honest.

Re: LEIGHTON McGivern
Mangan seems to be at his level now but he ain't changed to much, he got sent off at the weekend for gobbing off. Leighton would be in the higher leagues if it wasnt for the injury at macc, hope to see him back at accy, surley cant be worse than craig lindfield!

Worse than Lindfield???? The man runs his socks off (Lindfield that is) match in match out, maybe has not got the final touch but he deserves his place for effort alone. We do not have many options at our club due to finances, but there have been much worse than Craig Lindfield at The F.E.S. this season alone. We cannot afford work shy players...

We've had him at the club not once but twice. Neither time was he productive enough, with more cards against his name than goals. What's your reasoning... third time lucky?
With regards to Lindfield, his positioning and work rate are top notch but he has spoons for feet. Simple as.

Re: LEIGHTON McGivern
The goalposts are 2' further apart in the Scouse league, that's why McGivern's scored a few. He couldn't hit a barn door from 5 paces when he was here.

Re: LEIGHTON McGivern
The main problem with Mangan was not what he did on the pitch, but off it. That's why he's never really settled anywhere.
