Re: Lincoln away match thread
Anyone listening to Radio Lincoln's commentary would think that Stanley's MotM was 'an Accrington player'! Come back, Dan!

Re: Lincoln away match thread
Another great performance, but this time a better result. Very unfortunate and rare c**k up from Yosser, but what a battling effort to get that equaliser; fantastic left foot volley from Dion.
Well done to the entire squad and coaches.
Awful commentary from BBC Lincs, guy was both clueless and biased.

half of the time the commentator did NOT know who the stanley player was, they kept saying the accrington player cleared the ball, they had no idea even with a team sheet in front of em, also the radio kept spoiling the commentry twas utter rubbish in my view,

That's exactly what I thought. He hardly ever mentioned any of the Stanley side by name. A really poor, unprofessional commentary.

Re: Lincoln away match thread
Good game 2 goals the result of mistakes and 2 excellent goals Smyth is a talented player frightening their defenders Charles great to be scoring bit concerned about how wide open we were in the left back position not sure if Burgess is an out and out full back new lad Morgan excellent pass for Charles equaliser, onto Wednesday no let up but playing like that and we'll be okay.

Re: Lincoln away match thread
‘twas certainly a ‘Game of two Halves’, With Stanley dominating the first half. Lincoln then dictated play in the second half
As others have already said it was a good advert for League One standards. The pitch was very good too.
The I follow coverage was disappointing...constantly blurred screen and first half problems with local radio intrusions.
A good point away at the League leaders though.

I've just sent an email to Radio Lincolnshie expressing my thoughts on the quality of that commentary.

Re: Lincoln away match thread
would certainly have accepted a point at the kick off on top of watching a top game even though the stream and commentators tried to spoil it.

Re: Lincoln away match thread
BBC Radio Lincoln apart, most match reports that I've read have been very fair and complementary (see NewsNow), such as this one: https://staceywest.net/2021/02/15/st...ton-stanley/2/

I think that was the summariser, presumably an ex-player, who sat with the commentator.
He was OK, but the commentator was like an over-excited fan, claiming “oh, brilliant cross field pass” seconds before the ball went five yards over the head of the Lincoln wing back and directly into touch. It became quite a laugh he was so biased.
