Re: Lincoln match thread
The difference with subs today was that we had some decent players on the bench.
Pritchard was great when he came on.
Clark was excellent.
New lad up front will be ok when he settles.
Don’t yet see anything that good about Grant.
We were at sea a few times in defence but conditions weren’t great.
Nowt that wrong with the ref... two or three incorrect calls, and wish he’d made their player leave the pitch when he cut his head. Just a waste of time for everyone.

Re: Lincoln match thread
Wasn’t lucky enough to see the game but agree, Lord Didders, that, for the first occasion for some time, I thought the three subs strengthened the team. Not to say the subbed players didn’t deserve to start, but great to have quality on the pitch and the bench.
As to Grant, how quickly has Shrewsbury faded from the memory?
Well done to the squad and management for a terrific performance.

Sometimes I wonder if people who comment are actually at the game.
Only player with a bit of passion when we were losing, rallying the other players, keeping heads up. Did the dirty work, was happy to drop deep when needed to keep BA-S higher up the pitch.
Put himself about both on the ground and in the air.
One of our better players today...

Re: Lincoln match thread
Agree with earlier comment, credit must go to Andy Holt for addressing the deep lying drainage issues with the pitch.
An expensive task but one that already looks to be paying for itself.
Lincoln disappointed to be leaving with no points.

Re: Lincoln match thread
My opinion, I don't think Bobby Grant was amazing today but I think he is a very good signing (his goal against the shrews showed his value).
Regards the game, WOW! great match played fiercely by both sides. either could have won it, Lincoln there usual physical self, dangerous particularly at set pieces, But are guile was a match particularly second half.
Clark's dribbling caused Lincoln lots of problems, his link up play with callum was another highlight going forward.
Mixed day for bursik, incredible save near end of first half but a mistake for there second goal.
Agreed quality of and use of subs made a big difference for Stanley.
Pleased we kept singing and believing on the Clayton end even when goals went in against us. With our tricky run in these wins are putting us in a great place to secure league one footy for another year and not worry about those late season fixtures. On stanley on.

Correct Exile, but also agony for those in the 2279 crowd who were there, agony for Imps fans, ecstasy for Stanley supporters, at the final whistle.
What a game! Agree with Cashman, referee wasn't fit for non-league or even park football. Lincoln could, and perhaps should, have had at least 1 man or possibly 2 men sent off for the all in wrestling that was going on. How he could book 5 of our team and only 1 of theirs is beyond comprehension. i thought i had gone to watch a football match in atrocious conditions, not mud wrestling in some backwater arena!
so 3 wins on the spin for the first time in a while, Rotherham at the Wham next Saturday, lets hope the weather gods smile on us for a change.

Re: Lincoln match thread
Why do Stanley keep getting poor performing officials?
What is the FA playing at?

Re: Lincoln match thread
Ha ha! You see a player who everyone seems to be raving over for one game, express an opinion that he didn’t seem that good and all the old moaners have strokes.
Cum on, he wasn’t amazing today. Missed an easy header for starters. Certainly didn’t seem in the same league as Finley or Bishop.
As a matter of interest, why has he been at non league Wrexham?
