Re: lincoln supporter
Although it can obviously have a vital bearing on it, crowd numbers and ground size do not always correlate to atmosphere. 200 people in a small section of the away stand at Chester generated much more atmosphere than 1700 people in the rest of the ground. To cite another example, Mansfield have a large (for a division 2 club) stadium and around double our gates. Their ground has all the atmosphere of a social security office.
The Clayton End, even though it may only have around 3-400 people on it can at times, generate an atmosphere which is absolutely electric. When Stanley are bearing down on the opposition goal and the noise level starts rising, it certainly makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck (maybe even like a chicken! ). Add to that the fact that this is now one of the few places where you can stand on the terraces to watch league football, and I think we have something worth promoting to neutral fans...which was what Bananaman was trying to do.
