This is the lad I was talking to you about a few weeks ago,he was coming in on a full transfer,so it must be financial reasons that's held everything up.As for his scoring record I'm going 5 nil on Saturday for Stanley one goal and I think the flood gates will open.

How can you criticise JB for bringing in a striker who has played at this level for enough time and has scored goals plus he has power, height and pace, funnily enough all the things we are lacking at the minute. Its not just about goals it's about having a presence up front to bring players like Webber and Naismith into the game. We have nothing up top at the minute and we are not scoring goals, to address that issue first is more important than midfield. Scoring goals is more important to us with our current situation.
We have a big list of injuries and financial issues again, we are lucky to have signed anyone let alone someone who will add value to the team.
Some quotes about him on wiki:
His goals and work ethic have made him a fan favourite at the New York Stadium.
Odejayi was named as Colchester United's official player-of-the-season for the 2011-12 season, having led the front-line with power and strength all campaign.
When the January transfer window opened, Odejayi's loan form resulted in him being signed by Aidy Boothroyd on a permanenet deal, thus also becoming Aidy's first permanent signing for Colchester United.
I despair sometimes

Re: Loan signing no 1
JB has improved the team/squad with this signing without a shadow of a doubt, and that's all you can ask.
He's totally different from all our other forwards and will surely give us the physical presence we've been lacking up front.
Would like to see him and gray up front sat (assuming webbers not going to be fit) and let Kal stay wide where he's at his best.

Don't think it was money that caused the delay ...............
James Beattie: Accrington manager lines up loan additions
Beattie revealed deals for two players fell through on deadline day.
"We tried to add to the squad in the window and things just didn't quite work out," the 35-year-old told BBC Radio Lancashire
Beattie added that the collapse of a permanent signing was due to people at the other club involved in the transfer being "extremely busy", while a separate loan deal was not completed as the parent club wanted Accrington to contribute a high percentage of the player's wages.

Webber, Naismith and Odejayi; all "JB signings" - and I'm prepared to bet that if we didn't have JB we wouldn't have any of them

Re: Loan signing no 1
Two separate deals; one was halted by money, but the "permanent signing" - Odejayi, surely - wasn't

The permanent transfer stumbled over money, the loan deal also over salary contributions,if that's not money I give up.

Re: Loan signing no 1
I don't know what all the debate is about. Stanley has no money! Where's the news in that?
Given no money is a given, it's a miracle what Mr Beattie has managed to do thus far with bringing in new players and holding onto existing ones.
It remains a long season and, thus far, it's been as much luck that's been missing, and that's one of many things that money can't buy.

Re: Loan signing no 1
Have to disagree Exile, Whats been missing to me has been decent officials, the standard has been utterly abysmal. The clowns at Bury cost us 3pts no question at all, The Cheltenham goal from a freekick that never was, The blatant penalty (Radio commentator said) against the snake last sat, That aint bad luck, its rank bad officials.

When have I ever criticised JB?? Just said the guy's not an out & out goalscorer to date in his quite lengthy career & this is an area we need to look at.
I'm sure JB will be a great success & keep us up just as our previous managers have on the smallest budget in league football.
.... That aint bad luck, its rank bad officials.
Take your point, Cashers, but, as Stanley have no control over the officials and not every ref is a duffer, I put it down to bad luck that they appear to have suffered more than their fair share of duffers.
