Re: Loan signing no 1
Rochdale fans are clamouring for Hill to sign up Kayode. I would hate that to happen!
By the way, Football19, how did Carver do at Chester? I know he scored both the goals for Barrow.

He did Ok and scored two "sniffers" goals.
Think he was carrying a injury,so was surprised to see him start and was up against Danny Higginbottom (what's he doing playing at that level?)
It was a real nasty game, with a lot of verbals.
Interesting to see he played much better when he played off the no9,ie facing goal.
Miller was nice and tidy, but just not match fit.
Like all our fringe players, they need game time, was surprised at the standard of play, good at times.
Ps - Those Barrow fans are crackers !!,reminded me of Ultras years ago

Re: Loan signing no 1
so has Wily gone back to Rotherham then? I think the loan window closed the other day and there was no news of an extension to the loan. So the only way we could get him now would be as a free agent n'est pas?

Re: Loan signing no 1
The transfer and long term window closed at the end of August (or thereabouts, ages ago!)
The emergency loan period then re-opened in September and closed again last Thursday.
You need to have to have an "emergency" to bring somebody in and the maximum you can have an "emergency loan" for is 93 days. Kay will be with us for the full 93 days.
The whole routine starts again an midnight on New Years Day!!
At this stage you can buy.sell, swop, loan and have unexplained "emergencys"!!
Confused??
For once I'm not!!

The BBC reported that he'd signed for us on 10 September; 93 days later would be 12 December which is before our next match. So does that mean we won't be seeing him again in 2013 and have to hope for a further deal in 2014?

Is it midnight on New Year's Eve or on New Year's Day? It could be very handy to have Kay in the team against Fleetwood on New Year's Day itself!

Re: Loan signing no 1
The "windows" re-open with the "bells" at midnight; ie; 00-01 Jan 1st.
For those with good memory's didn't Hunty make his debut against Chesterfield??

Re: Loan signing no 1
Barrow fan likes Marcus:-
"Marcus Carver is giving a striker masterclass every week and it so refreshing to see someone so young applying themselves with great skill and determination and something we have not seen all season. Several times Carver has won balls upfront and got his head up only to see the midfield lumbering forward in slow motion to try and give an impression of supporting the front players. The lack of midfield energy is one of the more noticeable faults in Barrow’s recent league performances in my opinion. Ironically it is the easiest thing to instil in a team.
As you know Carver is a loan player and when he goes so will our goals threat"

Re: Loan signing no 1
As far as I understand it Kay's loan is up and cant be renewed until the loan window opens again in Jan.
I would be very happy if I have misunderstood the terms and he is available through Dec

Re: Loan signing no 1
His first game was 14th Sept, if the paperwork was done for 13th Sept he will be okay for Exeter on 14th Dec.
The first game for any new loans on 4th Jan as the first date any new players could be registered is 2nd Jan in effect even if the deal was done in advance (from past experience).

Could you not have just said "the info given is wrong", rather than responding in such a patronizing way ?.
