"Lugsden" . . . a name we'll learn to love

For it was he, the aforementioned Lugsden, who got onto an Owen cross and put the ball into the Grays net after 93 minutes of this epic game which started nearly an hour late because the rich directors of Grays had not, allegedly, paid their electric bill - and thus the floodlights could not be switched on.
I'm so proud that Accrington Stanley recently showed Altrincham how to play at the top level of football. Those Moss Laners have learned their lesson well, and tonight they've delivered.
Bless !

Ironic isn't it how when you have someone you think is one of your key players out on a ban you end up not missing him. No ones favourite Karl Munroe came in at centre and apparently had a terrific game. Sets up a week on saturday very nicely )

Good point, both teams gone to Grays and delivered the goods, but last night your result did us more good than you, you havent gone anywhere, but we are STILL TOP OF THE LEAGUE

Ironically Lugsden had the chance to equalise against us in the last few minutes but his effort flew across the goal...
