Re: Luton Town Game Thread
Dreamed last night that Mullin scored, then Griffiths scored the winner - oh well, nearly right. Now where's that wine bottle?

Re: Luton Town Game Thread
From the Observer site:
"John Coleman admitted he was a relieved man after the win but was full of praise for his entire team. He singled out Terry Gornell who had a strong game in a Stanley shirt and scored the winner. He also had words of praise for new boy Kieran Charnock. He admitted the defeats had been hard to take and said he could now start enjjoying football again. He said, after what happened at Bradford, he did fancy that his side could win at Luton and he was impressed with the heart and spirit his side showed. He said he was heading every ball off the line in the final 10 minutes. He is now looking forward to Tuesday and hopes this will be the boost his side needed to go on and move up the table."

Re: Luton Town Game Thread
some good news - 5:26 Terry Gornell was also relieved to get a goal and be on the winning side. He admitted last week's defeat - where he scored his first league goal - was hard to take but to get the winner was special. He has just signed a one month extension and says his partnershipwith Paul Mullin is now paying dividends

Not quite the time for unbridled triumphalism T-M,
but maybe a few 'I told you so's' might be in order
don't you think ?.
Our Manager and Jimmy Bell got it right today and I hope that those doubters and cynics who doubted their abilities and conviction in their threads of last week will acknowledge this !. ( However grudgingly!).
So on Tuesday night......
' ON STANLEY !....ON !!.

Just because the management got it right against Luton (and indeed deserve praise for it, along with the players) doesn't turn around the fact that they got it seriously wrong against Bradford.

Maybe so Yonmon, but last week was a major blow. This week's game was a massive one and a test for Coleman's managerial skills. To pick the team up and get them believing again was a task few of us would envy, but JC has done the job this week and deserves credit for that.

Re: Luton Town Game Thread
Well said, Monkey.
After two thirds of a bottle of Cab-sauv todays result is looking even better! Wouldn't it be great if the Ultras could get the whole of the Clayton End jumping on tuesday neet? Maybe they need to post two or three cheer-leaders out from behind the goals?

Exacttly, notice the football genious doing exactly what us so called moaners said he should have done the week before against bradford and leaving the team untouched ?
