Luton Town Match Thread.......
Seeing as nobody has started one yet.
For some strange reason I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow.
Looks like Lynch in goal with Liddle and Buxton still injured.

All the old gits on the Whinney Hill side who used to cruelly barrack Shaun Whalley will be disappointed that he will miss the game through injury. I don't suppose that anyone on here will own up to it!

Re: Luton Town Match Thread.......
Looking forward to this match also!!
So much so I've backed Mingoia 1st goal and 3-0 Stanley 325/1.
Gutted for Luke but Lynch will be chomping at the bit to keep the shirt so hope his debut is as memorable as Luke's.
We NEED to grab the first goal if we are to have any chance imo. If they bag early and the heads drop we could be in for a long afternoon.

Didn't actually barrack Shaun RR.....but I will own up to uttering the odd criticism of some of the ineptitudes which he demonstrated on occasions !, and being honest these suggested to me that he had little chance of making much of a career in football.
However, it pleases me to know that with some development of his skills and a measure of perseverance he has made some success for himself, I wish him well.
PS.....and I am an old git ....as everyone knows !

Re: Luton Town Match Thread.......
Had the chances to win it, But out muscled, need a big spoiler big time in my estimation, Hunty will never ever be a midfielder, too late was the cry. Once again the officials not much cop at all The first Luton goal was n offside just before the goal move, the liner never flagged, Still its the only consistency ive seen yet this season.

Re: Luton Town Match Thread.......
Was always going to be a tough game and so it proved.
From the start it was obvious we were going long and battling for the second ball.
For 20 minutes we won nearly everyone and got our rewards.AFter that they changed from their starting shape (4-1-3-2) and really dominated the game.
We then went deeper and struggled to get field position, relying on counter attacks.
Benson up front won everything in the air for them, but they never had any real pace to make it pay.
Positives - two goals ,our first point and thought the keeper had a great game.
Negatives - the fullbacks need to get back to basics and learn to defend first or we will never get clean sheets.
At half-time I would of settled for a point,so fair play to the lads for digging in ,especially against the wind
