Re: Luton Town Match Thread
I think Coventry are dark horses. Tuesday night I'm looking forward to against Luton. Draw would be nice ............. Coventry's run in could see them on a charge. Play offs for Sky Blues.

Re: Luton Town Match Thread
A bit late.... as usual ?...but nevertheless ecstatic !
Guess what ?, I had a 'then and now ' moment when the League 2 Table flashed up on my tv screen last evening !.
My mind went back to that awful day when Ilyas Khan's generous intervention, made when our club was at the mercy of HMRC and almost ceased to exist !, made sure that Football League membership prevailed for the Reds ! . I sensed a slight shiver as I remembered the faces of our fans on the Car Park just prior to this event, all feeling a sense of imminent loss !. This was 'then', and a time in our Club's history that must never be forgotten ?.
NOW ?.. Well that is all to do with another sense, this time however it is one of immense satisfaction and pride, to see the Club I remember from my first paragraph now transformed into a solid and successful unit fit to take on and defeat any of their rivals in our League !
They are on top... and I have been here to see it !.
I am tempted to continue with this outpouring of sentimentality and congratulations to all at t'Stanley....but I mustn't (football19 would never forgive me ! )...
All I can say, is what I shouted at the tv set last night....WOW !!!.
KTF!.
ON STANLEY !..ON TO GREATER THINGS !.

How right you are. As I came back on the train from Luton, I reflected on the contribution of Ilyas Kahn to the club's very survival. Amidst the present euphoria, that must NEVER be forgotten.
Incidentally, I was astonished at the number of people who mentioned Stanley's success to me as I crossed London. One young man was disappointed that we had won as he had had backed us for a draw - but said he was not too bothered as backing Stanley had earned him a fortune from the bookies this season.

Re: Luton Town Match Thread
Whoever said 85 points is probably correct - that's the number of points where only a miracle would stop us.
I reckon 82 will probably do it.

Aye a miracle or Stevenage.
After last time can we just say 86 points and be sure.

Re: Luton Town Match Thread
There's plenty of prizes for goal of the season but, if there was one, Jimmy Dunne must win goal-line clearance of the year.
