Re: Macclesfield Thread
Amazed no-ones mentioned the diving save by Cisak from that rocket shot, i reckon many of the so-called top keepers would only have parried that, The guy held it= Top Class Save IMHO.

I disagree, it's got to be a toss-up between Bertrand Bossu and Graham Branch.

I agree he was poor last night, but he has been magnificent !!

Smudgie, I think Jimmy has been one of our best players in the time he has been at the club and I think him to be loyal to Stanley!!!
But, in my opinion, he has not played well in the last month or so, his first touch has been poor and the amount of wayward passes have been high!!
I know you favour him - as I did Milesy - but, by his standards, he has not been at his best, he looks tired/injured!!
Just to re-itterate, I LOVE JIMMY RYAN, but he has not been at his best, there have been plenty of games in recent weeks were Razor could have had a game, or come on earlier, it is just Coley being Coley!!
Now Jimmy will be M.O.M. On Saturday, score a hatty and I will be on here eating himble pie!!!

Re: Macclesfield Thread
Didn't go the game ,but my mate, with no acci connection, went. He said that accis front men didn't hold the ball up enough which is key to there play.
he said a draw was a fair result, and a few players struggled to get in the game,he mentioned Sean and craney, but as I said, didn't go ,so I will sit on the fence

They were more effective when they didn't have the ball, chasing Stanley down

I thought Sean was offside at the time and the video seems to confirm that he was in an offside position both when Joe crossed the ball and also when it deflected off the defender. If you can't be "played on" by a defender anymore then it wasn't a goal. If it's back pass by the defender though, then surely it's a goal? Which is it?
In any case, Macc's last minute goal looked yards offside, both at the time and on the video.

Re: Macclesfield Thread
Just got back after making a weekend of it. My two pennorth - why oh why play the first half with the ball in the air when Macc were 6 inches a man taller than us, and far too many clever-clever delicate flicks and backheels from Sean and Ian in particular - we're gettting good but we're not bloomin Barca yet! Second half was much better but we really should have been able to see the game out against 10 men. Fair play to Macc for the way they went at us after the pen and sending off though. Proccy's goal was fantastic but my m-o-m would be Terry for the pressure he put on their defenders. All just my opinion and what do I know anyway?
Actually, one thing I do know - it was a great atmosphere! Roll on Oxford!
