Macclesfield View

Not sure why Ray Matthias should feel aggrieved.

Stanley were the better side in the first half at Macc. and gave as good as they got in the second half.

All 3 of our goals were quality and 2 of them were achieved minus Leighton McGivern.

Stanley were well worth their point.

Clearly this is not an occasion where we can afford to cede numbers and all the players must remember that unnecessary bookings and sendings off could cost us dear.

I should imagine early goals will be sought to ease the pressure.

In the stuff we've got from Paul Ince for Saturday's show he echoes some pretty similar sentiments.
Perhaps that's how they are motivating their players? By placing a concerted feeling of injustice on them and hoping that it brings a response...

I didn't think Stanley were great at Macclesfield, but a point was certainly fair.

How the hell can they feel an injustice was done? Try telling Leighton McGivern that after one of their cloggers broke his ankle in a deliberately nasty tackle when the ball had already gone!
