Mark Hughes!
I know this is not Stanley stuff, but... I just think that this is a joke and just shows how money football is killing football! How many times has Coley gone 8 - 10 games without winning?? But he is still in charge and rightly so!
After taking part in the "Leeds Experience" this week, I am glad we are in League 2! Along with people like Jase, I am happy to stay where we are, if moving on up involves becoming like Leeds!!! They even had the audacity to charge one of our mascots to watch the match on Tuesday
Football is for the fans - or so I thought, it is a good job that we have Ilyas putting money into our club, not some idiot like the joke at Notts County
ON STANLEY ON

Re: Mark Hughes!
I'm sure Hughes will blame the match officials for his sacking
Football became a game for the corporates years ago, the fans are well down the pecking order

Re: Mark Hughes!
Gutted for Sparky; 18 months given to prove himself in a 'long term project' is ridiculous. Glad however that he's out of a place where they (Al Mubarak & Co.) seem to have forgotten what football is all about... though I wonder if they ever knew in the first place. City fans must be craving the lower league yo-yo years more than anything at the moment; at least it was honest.

Re: Mark Hughes!
Hughes has been treated like crap IMHO, but think fer folk to say they are glad we are in league 2 is sad/pathetic, real clubs make progress without the false/corperation bull.

I agree in the main, you should always want your club to get to the top of whatever it is they are competing in. Still doesn't mean you can't want the 'traditional' ways of watching them without taking out a mortgage and sitting there in a sterile environment

Re: Mark Hughes!
I wouldnt shed too many tears for Hughes. fab pay and conditions, he wont be unemployed for long. I agree with earlier posts, I am happy in Div. 2 and 13 pounds a game or less.

Forgotten what football's all about shaker, don't think they knew in the first place, it took Fergie seasons to put United where they are today, 18 months is no time to build a successful team
