Re: Match Off
Is your club doing its best to annoy me?
How hard could it have been to have put covers on before the snow? It was forecast.
Failing that, how hard could it have been to have swept the snow off the pitch this morning? Before it thawed and left puddles.
If you wanted to play badly enough, you'd have got that match on.
I now doubly hope we murder you when we eventually play, cowards.

Pitch News
Tuesday 20th Jan 2009
Accrington Stanley v Darlington - MATCH OFF
Tonights match against Darlington has been called off by a Football League appointed local referee following a 2.00pm pitch inspection.
Although the pitch was protected by covers, unfortunately the melting snow has resulted in some areas of the pitch holding water which the referee was concerned would be liable to freezing if the temperature drops tonight.
A date and time for the rearranged fixture will be announced shortly.
As many of us have stressed before we want to play the match! What possible reason have we for not doing??? We are not going to get any players in, let alone strikers in because you have most of the strikers on your books!!

Yes I'm sure the fans do want the match to be played! As for possible reasons for the club to not want to play, hmmm let me think....a small squad depleted by injuries? Several players not quite ready for comebacks yet. Hmmm, call me a conspiracy theorist but I bet no tears were shed in your club offices when the snow started falling.

Although I'm not a Stanley fan I know the club would make you very welcome when the game is played and would invite you to pass on your comments in person, as they have done on here when somebody had over the top comments to make, although I hasten to add he apparently failed to attend the appointment
I'm sure the Chairman and Manager will be very eloquent in replying to your concerns

Re: Match Off
Why are you all getting excited at this barmpot from Darlington? They're only 'Why Aye' men with their brains kicked out.

Obviously a standard "Waterlogged Pitch" photo!! Did not want to put ours on in case that chap from Darlo used it as evidence in court to back up his conspiracy theory! Ha Ha

No no no, we now know that our game was called off because the sneeky sods have built us a new ground and not put anything on the fishy to tell us.
