match report

Just five minutes later the home side broke the deadlock when Todd ran unchallenged to the edge of the box from the half way line and drilled a superb shot into the bottom corner, 1-0 to Stanley and the crowd went wild, songs about smelling of fish and having no parents could be heard all around the ground.

It was only three minutes later when Accrington Stanley doubled their lead, Paul Mullin capitalised on a mix-up between goalkeeper Steven Drench and Darran Kempson to score from an acute angle, at this point all you could hear were the sounds of silence from the Morecambe fans and Stanley fans making sure they knew who were the real pride of Lancashire
