Didn't hear that, but what about those loudspeakers? I am totally deaf without my hearing aids and turned them both off at half time because of the horrendous, tuneless blasting rubbish coming over the LOUDspeakers, but I could still hear them!!! Bringing my cable cutters next time.

Re: Match Thread V Barnet.....................
Redraine seems to have nailed it,but we should mention the playing surface, which was shocking and handed them the advantage.
It was hard/soft/rutted and messi would have struggled on it!!
The iced area never took a stud so making the game narrow and there back four of giants loved it.
We are not the most mobile of teams and rely on moving the ball quickly, when you have to take 2 or 3 touches this makes us less effective.
Saying that,I thought they had bags of pace, closed us down and really did a number on us,better on the day in all departments,so they deserve a lot of credit.

Thought P Amond should have got MOM,
Did not play particularly well, but was all over pitch, He also tried to stop Barnet wasting time by retreiving the ball on many occasions.

I don't quite understand that, 19. The surface didn't seem to hamper them too much as they pinged the ball about, and their winger gave Macca and Murphy a torrid time on the "sunny" side. I may be wrong, but I think he switched wings after half time in order to exploit the better conditions.

Agree 100%. Whoever does the sound system wants pedalling.
Well done to everyone who managed to stay til the final whistle in the face of that pile of p*ss today, I was praying for FT in the brass monkey weather.

Maybe that was one of the major differences between the teams F19 ?... after the first 15 minutes or so when the Red's played it on the ground they looked a bit vulnerable....but after that when the number of sky balls increased they found it so easy !!...their heading ability was underlined at every set-piece as well !!... their captain in particular !!.
ps..Just seen Le Fondler score on Television
against Watford....totally ruined my evening before it's started !!....ah well..

Re: Match Thread V Barnet.....................
If you're going to have a blip better to do it against one of the bottom teams then go on and beat the teams at the top

Re: Match Thread V Barnet.....................
Given Stanley's record of postponements over recent years it's ironic that the atch being on probably went against them according to Sanchez
Quote:
Barnet manager Lawrie Sanchez told BBC London 94.9:
"Their shouldn't have been a game on if truth be told, we came we turned up but the pitch was frozen. There was something wrong with it and that was quite evident.
"But we got away with it, they have lost their record because of it, and we have played outstandingly well and have controlled the game and won it fairly comfortably
