Bull, you're missing the point. I've recently been keeping out of the negative threads and concentrating on the footy but this has annoyed me. My son age 7 is now on an adult mailing list because Stanley staff didn't keep the junior eagles details separate from adult season ticket holders. To you it may be nothing but what's next adverts for PORN, it does happen.
For the record Liverpool will win, I prefer coffee or lager and 3 to 4 hours of sleep a night is enough for me.

I got the impression that his phone call should be the end of my compliant but his attitude makes me believe this should not have happened as he made a comment about whether my son was 6 or 7, what that has got to do with anything is anyones guess but I shall be looking into it.
I would like to thank the club for passing on all season ticket holders details who can now expect another pile of junk mail through your doors pretty soon.
Mab did you get the same letter?

Not as yet Bagpuss, but theres still time pal....It clearly states when your child joins the jr eagles that your child has to be under 12 befor the 5th of may 2008 to become a jr eagle so why send Accrington Stanley FC Financial Services info to a 7 yr old my lads are 9 and 12 and the already have more money than me,i hope that the powers that be put this wrong right, and at least offer a full apology

Re: Matchday Club
I'm sure this is totally wrong and you would think childrens details would be more protected under the Data Protection Act 1998. see below
Plain-language summary of key principles
This section provides a quick overview of what the Key Principles of information-handling practice mean. The Key Principles themselves are discussed below in the context of their definition in law. - Data may only be used for the specific purposes for which it was collected.
- Data must not be disclosed to other parties without the consent of the individual whom it is about, unless there is legislation or other overriding legitimate reason to share the information (for example, the prevention or detection of crime). It is an offence for Other Parties to obtain this personal data without authorisation.
- Individuals have a right of access to the information held about them, subject to certain exceptions (for example, information held for the prevention or detection of crime).
- Personal information may be kept for no longer than is necessary.
- Personal information may not be transmitted outside the EEA unless the individual whom it is about has consented or adequate protection is in place, for example by the use of a prescribed form of contract to govern the transmission of the data.
- Subject to some exceptions for organisations that only do very simple processing, and for domestic use, all entities that process personal information must register with the Information Commissioner.
- Entities holding personal information are required to have adequate security measures in place. Those include technical measures (such as firewalls) and organisational measures (such as staff training).
Also subjects are allowed/have the right to make changes to wrong information

Re: Matchday Club
Well guess what i got thro the door............ interesting news for bargains from the club, club news, season ticket promo's etc etc ...........
.......err nope
Just a financial services letter entitled worried about the credit crunch ?
Mmmmm yes even more now i got that, so no credit crunch deals at the clubshop or on games then which is what fans realy want to know getting credit into debt is not one of those nor helps in the long run. Shame cos really off spins should be seperate from the footy club imho, but do realise they have to spread their business in order to accrue more income for the club but think many would search this out rather than have to put one more letter for recycle.
Im a stickler for what information or offers i'd like to recieve!

Still waiting for my lad to come home with the info, not your fault I blame the school (Peel Park) but if kids and parents don't get the letters it will reduce the numbers you get.

Bagpuss,
Peel Park were given 200 leaflets last Wednesday, I know because I took them there myself. Nothing more I can do really!
Do you want to pick one up from the club If you have the chance?
