Smile Matt Lowe

Got to give a special mention to Matt Lowe yesterday

Thought he played really well, against a very strong and physical defence - Inniss in particular - and will remember his Football League debut forever

Also, doubt he will have much tougher games than yesterday

Early in the season I know, but think that Coley has found another gem

First one was the clash of heads with Inniss, second was when he was thrown to the ground - did see by whom - and that just finished him off

He looks like a battler and he will be back to fight another day

Re: Matt Lowe

First one looked, from where I stood, that Innis headed down onto Lowe’s cranium. Don’t know how deliberate it was or not, but the direction of Innis’s head didn’t seem that natural for a defensive ‘clearance’ header.
Second one was Clare jumping on the back of Lowe as the latter made to meet the cross, and somehow it ended up causing Lowe’s nose to bleed. Again, couldn’t see clearly what, if anything, Clare’s hands and arms were doing, but Coley’s view was that, if McConville hadn’t scored, there should have been a penalty and red card.
But, despite the attentions of his opponents, I too thought Lowe did really well. Hope he’s not too badly shaken up.

Was talking about being wrestled to the ground and not being awarded a free kick
