Mawson

Goalkeeper Craig Mawson who played 1 game for Stanley in pre-season is playing in the carling cup 2nd round tomorrow. He signed for Oldham last Month on a short term contract to be 2nd choice goalkeeper there, with an injury to 1st choice goalkeeper Les Pogliacomi last saturday (11th), Mawson is now going to play against Tottenham tomorrow.

The game is to be shown on skysports.

No disrespect to Jon Kennedy but i think Mawson is a lot better and we should have signed him.

Re: Mawson

Oldham's goalkeeper was injured two games ago. Mawson has already played one and a half games and has had his contract extended.

With John Kennedy we are second in the Conference. With a defence we would be TOP of the Conference.

Re: Mawson

I saw the game Mawson played for us pre-season and have watched him in the past. I have no doubt that John Coleman made the correct decision. Jon Kennedy, to my mind, is the superior 'keeper.I think he has performed well in general this season and looks far more confident now he's assured of the niumber 1 spot. If he's in goal for the Latics tonight God help them!
