as you know i have left the club today, what i could only described has a sad day for me,i have really enjoy my short time at the club winning 3 cups & a league title, i would like to thank the chairman John & jimmy for giving me the chance to play for the stanley.
my favorite time at the club was winning the league title & also the FA cup run. i will also miss the great support i had from you the fans who made me welcome to the club, i can without doubt say you the fans are the best i have every played for in my football career. i would love to have stopped at the club but circumstances change but thats football,i hope that i am welcome back to stanley,who knows i might be playing at the famous old club again in the future. keep supporting the club because without the fans it would be difficult for the club to progress,all the best for the future. p.s TOP FANS. |

Make sure you stay in the Conference so you can come back sooner rather than later. To be honest when I saw you today at the ground I thought you were signing a new deal or something. I never got to see you play but I know you were well-liked by the Stanley fans so from me, and on behalf of Radio Lancashire - best of luck for the future.

Well Hacker I for one am Very sad to see you leave....... I have not seen many or in fact ANY player in a stanley shirt give the 100% you did everytime you played...
Also a really nice chap of the pitch, with plenty of time for the fans  I would like to thank you for your LARGE part in getting us where we are today...... Yes unfortunately things change but you will be a success where ever you go due to your attitude and comittment........ Hope all goes well for you and your family and enjoy the lucky club that gets you Hope to see you back at stanley soon...... |

I don't suppose I'm the only one sorry to see Steve leave the club. A lot of us sponsored him last year and I'm still sorry I didn't get one of his shirts. Droylsden or Barrow? Whichever, I'll make sure I get a couple of their matches in next season just to see Hacker.

All the best mate. Along with the comments on here you have truly made a lot of friends here at the club along with Keil & myself. Can remember when Keil & your little fellow were mascots & how you always have made time for the fans, adult & kids. Sure you will keep the faith & visit us certain of a warm welcome from all levels of the club. Presume your career will continue at Droylesden, the lucky beggers!!!

All the best. One of the `Greats` in recent Stanley history. I think you scored one of the most important goals in the club's rise through the leagues - at Burscough. We were right behind the goal when your thumping header, the only goal of the game, nearly busted the net! Away wins had been hard to come by till then. Afterwards, they became expected. The kind of player every team wants and needs. Cheers!
