Re: Michael Symes
Hopefully symes will stay, but if not i reckon £750.000 is not unreasonable.

They don't appear to have parted on good terms.

Maybe not unreasonable if he signed an 18 month extension. As it is, with Symes only having 6 months left on his current deal, we'd be lucky to get ~150k. If that's the figure we're looking at I'd rather see him leave for free in the summer after contributing to our play-off place. We'll earn a lot more than that from a play-off spot. If we get an offer over £250k (highly unlikely but if) and it was accepted, I wouldn't begrudge him a move to a club like Preston, but he'd be an instant legend if he stayed!

agree wi that shaker, feel that symes SHOULD sign that contract if he loves what the club has done fer his career, understand completly about ambition n don't begrudge the lad a move to advance his career, but feel its payback time from him.

Re: Michael Symes
Preston would be a good move for him and we can start to build a link with another local manager for possible loan moves , training pitches etc?
but the money has to be right for all concerned

Nah Wellbeck's a stiker, he can play on the wing it's just gets played out of position on the left to accomodate Macheda. Ferguson like to partner the young striker with a more experianced stiker in the cup games they get to play. So Macheda is usually up front with Rooney or Owen and Wellbeck on the left.

Didn't seem too big a gap between the Premiership and Div.2 last weekend, did there - never mind the Championship?

Re: Michael Symes
Was it just me, or did it look like Symes was saying goodbye to the Clayton End last night? I said to the lads who were stood with me that he seemed to spend a lot of time clapping at us at the end of last nights game, paranoia maybe??
Let's just hope so!! Would hate to split this Team up until the end of the season, would like to see just how good they really are!
