Mitre goal of the year

From the fishy site
Help find our best goal of 2009!
The Football League have launched the search to find the Mitre Goal of the Year 2009 and we are asking for your help in deciding which of our goals from the last 12 months should be put forward as our nomination.

We can nominate one goal from any Football League competition in the 2009 calendar year, to include goals scored in the Carling Cup, the Coca-Cola Football League and the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

We want fans to help us decide our club nomination by emailing suggestions to [email protected] by the 17.01.10. Please include the goal scorer, oppostition, home/away, and a brief description of the goal.
From the 18.01.10 until the 20.01.10 you can vote for your favourite goal out of the shortlist of the three most popular suggestions. Please Note; only votes caste between the 18th and 20th will count towards deciding the Stanley nomination.

Our nominated goal will then be entered in the Mitre Goal of the Year category at the 2010 Football League Awards, incorporating FourFourTwo’s Top 50 Football League Players.

In conjunction with viewers and presenters of Soccer AM, the entries will be shortlisted from the 72 club nominations to five goals overall. Watch Soccer AM from early February to take part in the vote. The winner will be decided at the Awards ceremony at Grosvenor House, Park Lane on Sunday 14th March.

Past winners of the Mitre Goal of the Year have been Sylvain-Ebanks Blake (Wolverhampton Wanderers – 2009), Jermaine Beckford (Leeds United – 2008), Joe Ledley (Cardiff City – 2007) and Stefan Oakes (Notts County – 2006).

To find out more about The Football League Awards or to book a table to attend the event itself please visit The Football League | News | FL Awards | FOOTBALL LEAGUE AWARDS.

To help you decide here they are
2008 - 2009 season, you'll need to check the dates
2009 - 2010 season

Well listen buster, you better start to move your feet to the rockinest, rock-steady beat of STANLEY

Maybe not the best ever finish but in terms of a top drawer well worked goal try Andy Procter's goal fourth for Stanley in the Crewe game earlier this season.

The first two goals were a bit special as well

This should make voting a little easier

Goal of the Year
14.1Mb 43 seconds long

Seeing all 3 together, I'm now undecided.

Re: Mitre goal of the year

Got to agree with Redash, seeing those three together does make it harder, however, Michael Symes still has my vote.
