Burnley v Hartlepool 3853. Puts it all into perspective a bit. Only 28 away fans as well! Tinpot!

Re: More poor crowds
Gates will also continue to fall while LCC and the police continue to harrass supporters who travel by car, setting up highly dubious no parking zones in an attempt to extort yet more funds from the public. They even wasted money by sending their helicopter out on Monday night, to the one ground in the country where the police have never been needed.

I don’t know about other peoples experiences, but I drive 40 miles each way and have had no problem with parking or the police. The police in my opinion have been helpful and courteous and have given me no reason to have any concerns. In fact I am surprised that there have been no supportive comments about the policing on the site
I use the donation car park just passed the ground entrance and have never put more than a couple of quid in the box. The people down there have also been polite and courteous and I’ve also believe that the car is safer there than just parked on the street.
<O
I think we need to give support to the current practice rather then condemn it; after all there would be more risk of a fatality occurring with traffic try to get away through the narrow confines of Livingston and Whalley Roads.

yes the helicopter was ridiculous........totally unnecessary, i live just over the back of the ground and it was circling from about 5 `o clock onwards.....and for another half hour after the game.

Hear hear! I've stopped using the car now after falling foul of the jobsworths patrolling First Avenue and doling out their £30 presents to drivers who try to park sensibly. Unfortunately we need to attract people who are not lucky enough to live only a 30 mins walk away, and who don't want to be trapped in the official car park after the match. Too many negatives for waverers at the moment I'm afraid - this + no F in roof, etc.

Yes,its dingle speak a language that was found by accident by a member of Manchester University Language department on a hiking holiday in the more remote parts of NE Lancashire. Whilst asking for a directions from a passing tramp he got the reply eh!!! tha wat!!!!!! eh!! by!!! after more questioning he found out that in fact he was talking to a Dingle, a person from the town of Burnley and his name was Kev. He immediatly cut his holiday short contacted the University and a team of linguists flooded the area to study this modern day lost tribe, from this study they compiled a book called speak like a dingle, luckily I managed to find a copy and just for you Cowboy I may have an answer.......
A lot of people do not go to Burnley FC anymore because they are treated very poorly by the fore said club.
Hope this helps

These flights are often form part of training exercises so the cost implications are negotiable. They need really to do this form of air to ground policing now in order to be effective when the ground does start to attract larger and potentially more hostile gates. The use of Helicopters in general is force multiplication in that they will need fewer individuals on the ground and can respond to hot spots quickly, it will take a little time to work out what works best, and it is a learning curve to affects us all. I’d rather have it there than not.
