9 games to go, 6 against teams below us - best realistically possible, 12th with 60 points ?
But I'll settle for 7th with 72 points if I must, as long as we lose the play-off final

Re: Morecambe Game
Mullers knew what it meant to beat Morecambe, just by the look on his face. Now can our forwards remember that if you run at defenders, they back off!

Re: Morecambe Game
Oh my what a fantastic match - 2nd half was delerium, even had to ask what the score was towards end with all the celebrations going on at clayton end, poor HR got mobbed by all players nearly went over wall ehhehehee This is just what the players needed for morale boosting.
Brilliant atmosphere 'ole stanley' the winning chant hehehe

Has nobody mentioned the double? Might have missed it, but well worth repeating.

Re: Morecambe Game
I admit I was a bit disenchated after Saturday's performance, How fickle am I
But tonight has reignited everything that is good about the Club for me!
Superb Second Half Performance and I thought the Support was awesome!!

Re: Morecambe Game
Woo hoo what a game, well especially the second half....and great to see some goals in the clayton end
Said cheers to mullers for nearly pulling me over the wall after he scored...and he replied..well I know you like a celebration cuddle
Jay Harris once again won MOM, and majority of players came into the clubhouse after the game
Brought a couple of newbies with me and they asked straight after when next home game is and to cap it all off one of them hails from "Posh"

Re: Morecambe Game
what a game and what a night! 3 points and the double over one of our nearest rivals. Wish I could go to Rochdale now, but work comes first - what a bummer. will also miss the MK Dons game for same reason - jeez reminder for next season, must book off work when stanley are playing. Sorry JC maybe I was wrong about your tactics - You have got them spot on tonight now lets make in 3 on the bounce for the first time please. P.S. thought Alan Wiley got it wrong with Whalley, tried going through 2 players and got tripped - should have been a penalty. Prem refs they are as bad as league 2 refs

Re: Morecambe Game
I actually thought Coleman got it wrong last night. Whenever we play with Craney as a 'floating striker' we never seem to combine or create very much. We are far more effective when we have 2 proper strikers and Craney in midfield and I knew we were in for a long night when I saw that combination before the game.
Although it was a shame that Craney was injured, we actually started to play football in the second half. Instead of the big boot up to Mullin all the time (which Artell and Bentley mopped up all night), we started to pass through midfield and run at the Morecambe back line. It meant that we could hold onto the ball and maintain pressure, which we never did in the first half and constantly gave up possession far too easily.
This isn't meant as a criticism of Coleman, but I do wonder if things would have changed in the way they did if Craney hadn't have been injured? Sometimes things can conspire in our favour.
