Re: Morecambe thread
A nice little ground, good fascilities, but a poor side. Stanley were the better team. Ryan played well. Paul Mullen missed a sitter (thankfully) The Ultras were great again, Stanleys second was worth the trip, well done Reds.

Not too sure about that. Morecambe were looking the more likely to score until Coley brought Putterill on. I like Ray - he's so direct and aggressive and puts the wind up defenders. He made a big difference. I can't help feeling a bit sorry for the Shrimps fans - the've played pretty well against us recently but we seem to have the Indian sign over them and long may it continue. However they totally failed to get behind their team, so I suppose they got their just deserts.

Well its funny you should say that, we were having a conversation and come to an agreement that it didn't seem the same saying that as it does c'mon you reds, anyway a few seconds later we lost possession and someone called them black B*******, just a few seconds later Ryan hit the back of the net, certainly worked for us

Re: Morecambe thread
Pretty much the same observation as Redraine, once Putterill came on for Craney there seemed to be a desire to carry the fight to Morecambe after we had been penned in for most of the second half whether Razor has a point to prove not sure but it certainly worked as an inspired substitution.
Not sure if Craney also had the same effect with Jimmy Ryan as well as things tended to try to go through Craney rather than Ryan which seemed to deter the foothold Jimmy normally has on games?
But a cracking result that puts a bit of daylight between us and the Clubs at the bottom and means looking upwards instead of downwards.
But this is such a tight league a run of three or four wins and we could be right back in the thick of things.
I did miss the Old Christie Park which had a more football feel to it to me than the Globe, I am sure from a commercial point of view it makes sense but from a fans point of view I am not sure.....

Re: Morecambe thread
first half we ran the game
Craney was very impressive and orecambe couldnt deal with him as was Ryan with Gornell providing plenty of movement up front, McConville also played well as a wide outlet.
2nd half Morecambe started to press us and we where uncomfortable under the high pressure with many wayward balls.
They really should have scored with one of their strikers clean through blazing over the bar.
A decent game despite the weather turning cold and the lack of pies for sale.

You were lucky. Mine was cold around the crust but scalding hot inside! Disagree with you re. McConville though. Much better options on the bench IMHO.
