Murdock Signed

We have signed a defender called Colin Murdock. He'd been released from Shrewsbury. He's 32 so not too old and a big lad.
Apparently Darran Kempson will not be joining us as there would be a fee involved that we're not prepared to pay.

See Accrington Observer.

Re: Murdock Signed

Not a bad signing, ex international who's been around a few good clubs (man u, preston, hibs) so there is plenty of league experience which is something i feel we have been missing in defence since we came back up, also use to be club captain at crewe. Good start, now some more please

Re: Murdock Signed

If he's ewt like he was at north end, he will be a fantastic signing!!

He was a great player and scored a few important goals for the club and played a massive part not only in the Division 2 championship in 2000 but also reaching the play off final vs Bolton in the 2000/2001 season, a big lad good at heading and never let his temper flare in tough situations.

For me this is worth the £208 I've shelled out

Re: Murdock Signed

Well, I've just been talking with a Shrewsbury fan friend of mine and he reckons that Murdock will win a fair number of headers.........

......but he has no pace and he loves to kick off with opposition forwards.
Overall he was described as 'disappointing' and that Rotherham fans had told him the same thing when Shrewsbury signed him.

Sounds great when he's teamed up with Rocky at the back

So you'd play all 4 plus some more defenders eh? Maybe between all those they might get something right?
