Re: Music to Run Out To

The Impossible Dream was composed by Mitch Leigh with lyrics by Joe Darion for the hit show Man of La Mancha - which was based on Miguel De Cervantes novel Don Quixote. In this song Don Quixote expresses his intention to battle all odds to achieve his goal. It is widely reckoned to be an anthem for Optimists in an age of rampant cynicism.
So it says on my cd of that well known british east Accrington songstress, Lesley Garrett . Yeah yeah - I know the locals insist on calling that area of the parish yorkshire !

Re: Music to Run Out To

Well, the votes are in, so I'll get the CD burned. I'm gonna burn the nominated songs, and the first 5 suggestions after this post.

Re: Music to Run Out To

Right, I'll choose the last 'un, We Are The Champions - Queen

I chose Town Called Malice by Jam, that way we only have one Stone Roses Track.

Sound good?

Re: Music to Run Out To

It has to be The Impossible Dream, (Apart from the fact Carter live are awesome) It's the only song above that can be sung with passion.

Methinks people are looking at the BACK bit inThe Thin Lizzy song and voting with that rather than thinking.
