Re: Nephew's First Game
if you have the 'wife in tow' conundrum next weekend just mutter something about ...the shambles .... and she'll think you're taking her shopping down that theer little tiny street.
Not your fault if she doesn't follow you to where you actually meant!

Re: Nephew's First Game
It was also my first visit to Stanley.
Having posted last week looking for ticket advice, I just thought that I'd come back on to say how good an experience it was.
Me and my old man stood on the Clayton End, behind the goal and amongst the atmosphere and the lads making the noise. As primarily a Coventry City supporter, I was impressed by the positive support that you gave the team, as at the Ricoh the boos and jeers ring out at the first mis-placed pass. Everyone remained positive and stayed until the end and perhaps that helped them find the equaliser.
I shall be there next Friday and again on the 27th and no doubt for next season's league 2 campaign.
(And my newborn is already in a Stanley baby grow!)
All the best.

Your lads were doing quite well until the deduction of points. Must admit I've been the Ricoh a few times as my sister lives down that way (10 mins from the ground) we've taken her nippers to the game as her & hubby aren't really footy fans, kids loved it & we enjoyed the games. We were in the family enclosure so sheltered from the raucousness of the main enclaves.
Just waiting for a chance to get the kids up to Stanley.

Good to hear it, mate. As you may have seen elsewhere, watching Stanley is going to be even cheaper next season!

Couldn't get there after all, had forgotten we'd booked 'Walking with dinosaurs' at the MEN arena.
(actually booked it last April!)
Kids enjoyed it though!

They want to see dinosaurs? Take 'em on the Clayton End, lefthand side!
