Re: Never a Quiet Week
just a reminder for the diary if we were to make the play-offs rather than automatic promotion it would mean one of the two legs being played after the 10th May

Re: Never a Quiet Week
If (big if) any residents are offended by this, I have only two questions:
1) Was the Crown Ground in use as a football ground at that time?
2) What exactly did you think the great big bl##dy floodlights were for?
As an exiled Ossy lad, I can assure you, there's very little in Hyndburn to be proud of. ASFC is about it, so a little understanding from the council wouldn't go amiss (and could anyone who lives in Ossy remind Mr Britcliffe of this when he's next out electioneering - he's quick enough to attach himself to the club when it suits him).

Re: Never a Quiet Week
People who buy houses next to a football ground and then complain about the effects of having a football ground next door are obviously stupid and their opinions should be dismissed.

Re: Never a Quiet Week
It might be something ridiculous such as a run in with EW in the past or it may be more sinister. There is no harm in asking, after all we are paying her cushy councillor wage and by the ammount of committees she is on it must be over £15,000.

He was on the roof of one of the houses on the Whinney Hill estate. Surely they can't have any beef about the control cabin from that side of the ground??

Removed link and personal remarks against a particular councillor. Suggest if people want to voice their opinion do so appropiately please, not via forum for legal implications and antaganising the situation for stanley. Call the club or speak to the council dept handling the club's application. Thanks ;D

It isn't. Check http://www.hyndburnbc.gov.uk/downloa...es_2008-09.pdf and you'll see last year it was less than half that.
